As a full-time, freelance writer in St. Louis, I’m grateful for assignments you believe need a certain Walt-itude.
As my “About” page takes forever to explain, I’m trying to pivot to entertainment (especially comics) and editorial (especially features), but a guy’s got to eat, so I’ll take the right kinds of copywriting projects, too.
I also love to brainstorm with other creative minds, and that’s a good way to use my services, too.
But back to my writing buckets. Let’s just list ’em. I love to write…
Letters to the editor (but I don’t expect to get paid for those)
Then there’s a completely new category of stuff….
YOU DON’T NEED ME TO WRITE
It’s not that any of those are “beneath” me. There’s no such thing. I put my heart into everything I write, and I’ve written many of the items directly above. But the “You Don’t Need Me” subset can be accomplished by younger, less expensive writers who don’t agonize over every caption, every subhead. And press releases? The online distribution services are giving those away.
So let’s return to the stuff you might need me for. Take another look through the list. There are lots of opportunities to work together. Then:
I’ll email. As soon as I get off the trail.
